Riley County, Kansas

Shepherd's Crossing is an ecumenical ministry involving several community churches to provide assistance to those in our community needing help with utilities (gas, lights, water), rent, prescription drugs, or to offer budget planning counseling.  This assistance is available to an individual once every 3 months.

Their goal is to provide compassionate and caring assistance to those in need of a listening ear and financial support.

Shepherd’s Crossing began as an idea of local pastors involved with the Manhattan Ministerial Association.  It was evident from the number of people asking for financial assistance from local churches, that something must be done by the faith community to take care of our brothers and sisters in need.  The seeds for Shepherd’s Crossing were planted.  Pastors and lay people pooled their knowledge and resources and helped to make Shepherd’s Crossing a reality.  Our doors opened for our first clients on April 3, 2001.
